Vases is a series of minimalist still lifes exploring presence and the endurance of form as it enters into dialogue with space and pause.

The artist turns to the Kabbalistic tradition, viewing each object as a vessel for divine light.
Minimalism intensifies the form, shifting the focus toward the capacity to receive and hold energy rather than to display it.

The series examines processes of receiving and giving, posing the question:
what story can form tell on its own — and how does light animate space, are we able to withstand the intensity of light, and in what other ways can emptiness be interpreted.
Simplicity is somehow essentially describing the purpose and place of an object and product. The absence of clutter is just a clutter-free product. That's not simple.
Smoke is a collection of airborne solid and liquid particulates and gases emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass.
It is commonly an unwanted by-product of fires (including stoves, candles, oil lamps, and fireplaces), but may also be used for pest control (fumigation), communication (smoke signals), defensive and offensive capabilities in the military (smoke-screen), cooking, or smoking (tobacco, cannabis, etc.).
